Our 2025-2026 charity campaign will support The Cambridge Royal Albert Homes which provides subsidised homes for older people who have connections with Cambridge.
Its objective is to provide a pleasant living environment with high standards of maintenance and safety in its properties and to provide its elderly residents a happy, active environment that they can call home. The Warden promotes the use of communal facilities and organises functions to encourage good neighbourliness and a community spirit. The Charity has been running the landmark alms houses at the junction of Hills Road and Brooklands Avenue in Cambridge for over 160 years. With an ageing population and the aim to help residents lead independent lives in their own homes for as long as possible, further amenities such as level-access showers will need to be provided in the future.
